CHRISTY HOLTBY | VP, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS @ UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION | Edmonton, Canada
As Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at the University Hospital Foundation, Christy is a philanthropic leader with a passion for healthcare and innovation. For nine years she has helped to accelerate innovation and excellence at the University of Alberta Hospital site. In her leadership role, Christy is building UHF’s department of Strategic Partnerships facilitating Public Private Philanthropic Partnerships (P4) to help translate Alberta’s innovations into solutions that impact the health of all Albertans.
Prior to this role, she established the Edmonton Branch of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada and worked in development and health promotion with the Arthritis Society and the Ontario Lung Association.
In August of 2018, Christy was selected to join the inaugural class of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s Forty Under 40 program, which recognizes the industry’s brightest leaders with established records of success in their careers.
Passionate about the role of sports and coaching in leadership and development for youth, Christy recently completed two terms on the board of directors for KidSport Edmonton and established Ladies and Littles – an event to introduce sport to mothers and children. She has previously held volunteer board roles with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Edmonton Chapter and is a founder of Ladies on the Green in support of the Zebra Child Protection Centre.
She presents at local, national and international conferences for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, of which she is also a member. Serving as a volunteer with Mayor Don Iveson’s Health City Initiative, Christy has spoken at the City of Edmonton Health Summit and the Mayor’s Summit for Economic Development. Christy holds her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.
